GET RID OF GERMS WITH DISPOSABLE WIPES

Surfaces, like kitchen and bathroom counters, door knobs, toilet seats, children's toys, sinks and chopping boards, are contaminated with unwanted bacteria. Given how economical disposable wipes now are, together with the fact that dishcloths contain approximately 4 billion living germs, there is an increasingly strong argument for the use of disposable wipes or cloths and then throwing them away, thereby disposing of the germs with the wipes!

Did you know that:-
  • Desktops have almost 21,000 germs per square inch and phones more than 25,000 per square inch (compared with a mere 49 per square inch on toilet seats).
  • The kitchen sink is one of the places with the most germs -- harbouring more germs than the washroom. The most contaminated sites are those that tend to remain moist e.g. the dishcloth.
  • Phone receivers harbour more germs than any surface -- even more than the toilet seat. Desktops, keyboards, and light switches are also on the workplace top germ-covered list.

The demand for disposable wipes is increasing, particularly in hospitals and aged/child care environments. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 5–10% of patients admitted to acute care hospitals in developed countries acquire an infection, which can lead to increased healthcare expenditure, or worse, death.

Given the economics and the risks of cross-contamination of germs, disposable wipes are well worth the price.
